One copper electroformed Labradorite Carved Owl & Skull on a 24" soldered antique copper chain.
An owl hooting in the dead of night was interpreted as an omen of death. Owls were thought to have escorted departed souls to the underworld. To see an owl waiting indicated that a soul would soon be on its way.
Because the owl traveled between our world and the underworld, the owl was thought to be a messenger of the dead. To see an owl, or hear an owl, meant that you were being visited by a departed soul, or hearing a message from one. An owl and a skull is a symbol for someone who converses with the dead, or for someone who received messages from departed souls.
Pendants measure approximately 2.5" x 1.25". The back of the stone has been left uncovered by copper to expose more metaphysical powers.
